Deleting a person from the Family

Hide or delete? Show/Hide leaves a person off this TreeLine only;

they stay in the Family and can be shown again. Delete removes them

from the Family itself.

Where to find it. Click the person's bar to open their Person pane,

then Delete at its foot. It is also under Family record in the

person's menu: right-click the bar › Details, dates and Events….

What happens. TreeLine asks first. Once confirmed:

• they are permanently removed from the Family, which affects every
  
  TreeLine that uses it, not just the chart in front of you;
• Events recorded only for them are deleted too; an Event that also names
  
  someone else is kept.

This cannot be undone. If you might want them back, make a backup of

the Family first: Back up now on the Family's Backups page.
