Printing on several sheets
What it does. Divides the TreeLine across a grid of sheets of the paper
you choose, Rows × Columns, so a large chart can be printed at home or by a
local printer and joined edge to edge.
Why you might use it. Four A4 sheets in a row hold a family that spans
three centuries at a readable size, on a printer you already have.
Where to find it. TreeLine Settings › Paper and printing › Sheets.
How to use it.
- Choose a paper size for each sheet (several sheets need a fixed paper,
not Auto). If you are on Auto, Use this paper for the sheets sets it. - Set Rows and Columns. The chart shows where the sheets divide.
- Download panels (ZIP of PDFs) gives each sheet as its own PDF, named
by its place in the grid. With sheets set, the ordinary download button
reads Download PDFs (ZIP) and gives the same sheets.
What to expect. TreeLine keeps people from being cut between rows of
sheets. Print every sheet at 100% (actual size), not "fit to page".
