Bar style, fill strength and ink

Where to find it. Settings › Appearance.

Bar style. Light Fill or No Fill. Older styles are shown only

on a TreeLine that already uses them, marked retired.

Bar fill strength. From lighter to richer pigment. Lower, the fill

grows see-through, so a relationship or child line passing behind a bar

stays faintly visible; at 0% only the outline is left. Above 95% a Light

Fill takes up more of its colour. Names, dates and the bar outline always

stay solid.

Bar ink. How the pen draws each bar's border: Current, Fine

pen (a restrained, steady pressure), Manuscript ink (a more

characterful one) or Flat fill. The same on screen, in the PDF and in

print.
