The Default bar style

Where to find it. Settings › People and labels › Default bar

style.

The choices. Full bar, Narrow bar (with name, or no text),

Line (inline label, or no label), and Stub (a short line at birth,

with or without a label). Stubs apply only to people with no visible

partner or children.

Branch-ending style. A second rule for terminal siblings: people with

no spouse, partner or child shown in this TreeLine. With Only when all

siblings are terminal ticked, it applies only when every sibling in the

group is terminal; unticked, to each terminal sibling on their own.

Shape, not fill. This is each person's shape. How bars are filled is

What to expect. People you have set individually keep their own

choice; Use TreeLine default on a person returns them to this.
