Collapsing a branch

Where to find it. Right-click a person who has children ›

⊟ Collapse branch. The same menu then offers ⊞ Expand branch.

What happens. The person stays on the chart; their descendants below

them are not drawn on this TreeLine. Nobody is deleted, and other

TreeLines of the Family are not changed. A small + beside the person

marks the collapsed branch: click it to expand the branch again.

Hidden inside it. Someone you hid on purpose inside the branch stays

hidden when you expand it. If Show reports that people are still not

shown because they are in a collapsed branch, use Expand branch on the

person it names.
