Making something new from a selection

Where to find it. Right-click a selected person › Create new….

With nobody selected, it uses the person you right-clicked.

The choices.

• TreeLine from selected people — a new TreeLine over this same

  Family showing only them. Nothing is copied: a change to the Family

  shows in both.
• Family from selected people… — a new, separate Family holding

  copies of them, with a TreeLine of its own. The original is not changed.
• TreeLine extract of a connected branch… — a new TreeLine of them;

  they must be connected to one another, and you name it first. Nothing

  on this TreeLine is hidden or changed.

What to expect. Only the people you picked are included: no spouse,

parent or child you did not select.
