Selecting people

Where to find it. Right-click a person › Select.

The choices.

• Select all — every person this TreeLine is about, including anyone
  
  off screen. People in the Family who are not on this TreeLine are never
  
  selected. Select complement selects everyone else instead.
• Descendant branch, Descendant branch excl root and Ancestor
  
  branch — the menu shows the click shortcut for each.
• Same generation, and Same separation or Separation ≥ a
  
  number, when TreeLine knows them for this person.
• All siblings, Siblings + spouses, Siblings + descendants,
  
  and Full branch.

Adding to a selection. Each Select choice replaces what is

selected. With people already selected, Add to selection adds the

group to them instead.

What to expect. Selecting changes nothing by itself. Use the selection

for the next action, such as moving, styling, hiding, or Create new….
