Event and marriage captions

An Event's caption. Click the Event on the chart: the person's Person

pane opens on Events with that Event selected. Under On this

TreeLine, type your words in Caption on this TreeLine (up to 120

characters); Reset caption goes back to the default (type, date and

place). TreeLine places every Event label for you; labels are not dragged

or moved by hand.

A marriage's caption. Right-click the marriage line › Marriage

annotation › Edit caption…. Leave it empty to go back to the date

and place.

Their size. Settings › Events and Marriages › Event and marriage

label size writes every Event caption and every marriage caption at

100%, 110%, 120% or 130%, each by the same amount; TreeLine makes room

for them. Names keep their size.

What to expect. A caption changes the words on this TreeLine only.

To change the facts themselves, edit the Event in the same Events

section, or click the marriage annotation to open its Relationships.
