The year ruler

Where to find it. Settings › Timeline, or right-click the year

ruler for the most used choices.

How to use it.

• Position — Off (no axis bar), Top, Bottom or Both.
• Direction — → Left to right (past on the left) or ← Right
  
  to left (past on the right).
• Span — a Start and End year, or Auto.
• Granularity — the spacing of the major ticks: Auto picks a
  
  sensible interval from the chart's span, or choose Century, ½
  
  Century, ¼ Century or Decade.
