Adding people, children, partners and Events

A new person. Right-click › Data › Add Person. Enter what you

know: their name, dates, sex and whether they are living, and their father

and mother if they are already in the Family. The new person is added to

the Family and is available in every TreeLine of it.

A child. Right-click a parent › Data › Add Child of …, or ＋ Add

child in their Person pane.

A partner or marriage. ＋ Add partner in the Person pane, or

＋ Add relationship while adding a person. Choose the type (such as

Partner, Spouse or Engaged) and the dates if you know them.

An Event. ＋ Add event while adding a person, or Add Event…

from a person. Choose the type (such as Baptism, Burial, Migration,

Residence, Military, Education or Occupation) and its date.

What to expect. People, relationships and Events belong to the

Family, so they appear in all its TreeLines; each TreeLine decides what it

shows. Someone who may view but not edit the Family cannot add to it.
