The Person pane

Where to find it. Click a person's bar on the chart, or right-click a

person › Data. Click the name at the top to centre the chart on them.

The four sections.

• Person — their names, dates and details, saved with Save.
• Parents — father and mother, other parents (adoptive, step, foster,
  
  sealed, guardian), and earlier ancestors and dated evidence.
• Relationships — their partners and marriages; Edit opens a
  
  whole relationship.
• Events — their Events, each of which can be shown or hidden on this
  
  TreeLine.

One column or two. The − and + beside the sections set the

width. In one column the four sections are tabs. In two, Person stays

on the left and the other three are tabs on the right. The width is

remembered in this browser.

What to expect. Moving between sections keeps what you have typed;

closing the pane with unsaved changes asks first. Someone who may view but

not edit sees the details read-only.
