Which Events and marriages are drawn

Where to find it. Settings › Events and Marriages › Automatic

annotations, or Event & marriage defaults… in the People pane.

Events.

• Show all Events by default draws every Event on this TreeLine unless
  
  you hide it.
• Leave out Events outside each person's life leaves out an Event
  
  dated clearly before birth or after death. A burial counts up to three
  
  calendar months after the death; approximate or unknown dates never hide
  
  an Event.
• Leave out Events without a date leaves out Events with no usable
  
  date. A year alone, an approximate date or a before/after date counts as
  
  dated.
• Draw them as Markers (compact symbols) or Callouts (the
  
  caption on a movable label). Each kind of Event has its own symbol;
  
  Education and Graduation share a mortarboard, and the Event legend
  
  names whichever of them is drawn.

Marriages. Automatic marriage annotations: Off, All marriage

lines, or only recorded marriages: all of them, those with text, or

those with more than a date. Recorded means the Family records an actual

marriage, not just a partnership.

individual choices stay as they are.
